I was blessed this weekend on several occasions. I know for many it was a headache of traveling and missing work or certain events, but I was so blessed by the large snowfall we received. I have always loved snow (I don't like driving in it), but I just love the pure coating it leaves on everything. I got to spend some extra time with Chad and Jadyn this weekend as we were all snowed in on Friday. It was just a joy to hang out in our jammies all day. I always appreciate the precious time we have together!!
I was also blessed Saturday morning by John Wallace's Memorial Service. It was such an inspiration to see the celebration of this incredible man's life. He touched the lives of so many people, especially his family. I was touched and challenged to continue to strive to live in community with others and love on my family and friends as much as I possibly can. It was warming to feel such a sense of celebration and hope in the midst of the sorrow that goes with losing someone so close to so many.
Finally, Saturday evening I was blessed by our new small group! There are 6 of us couples (only 5 could make it this time) who are going to get together once a month for fellowship and simply sharing life together. Chad and I are both so excited to refuel ourselves with building these new friendships with people who are in the same stage of life we are in. Jacob and Audrey Felger wonderfully opened their home up for this small group and I am so appreciative of their hospitality. I am so excited to see where this group goes!!
me too! :)
